It helped to see the extent of the problem when government statistics on inbound tourism became available for decision making.   Since by that time, several media sources had been painting a bleak picture of the entire Asian-based tourism industry, which thereby created hysteria within the travel and tourism industry as a whole, TNSW has responded responsively accordingly.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   TNSW conducted its own analysis on the nature and extent of the crisis, and how it affected the travel and tourism industry on a country-by-country basis. By monitored the news reports for accuracy and senior levels, TNSW disseminated information through the press to paint a more comprehensive picture of what was actually happening as way of damage control to what the press has earlier reported. TNSW revived confidence and calmed down the hysteria generated through some speculative biased reports (Gray and Fletcher, n.d.).   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Instead of being alarmed TNSW was able to provide leadership on how the industry should respond and to provide forecasts which it used to project the nature and extent of the recovery in all markets.   Based on forecasts made, it was able to see where it could take advantage opportunities and minimize the effect of industry threats (Kotler,1994; Kotter and Schlesinger,1991; Porter, 1980).   As part of its many tactical decisions, case facts mentioned the allocation of a larger portion of its budget to Asian region being diverted to other key growth markets such as the USA and Europe.   TNSW applied careful marketing investment decisions in Asia on the basis of analysis of which markets would recover first. It was able to observe which of the markets showed evidence of rebound while ensuring that it would not lose presence and awareness in those markets. How will the approach differ for the Asian countries affected by the crisis?      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The approach will differ for Asian countries affected by the crisis in terms of giving priority where risks caused by the Asian crisis should be brought at the minimum by allocating more budgets for Asian countries than the rest that could produce more revenues or less amount of loss.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   To implement this kind of strategy, those countries which could give earlier recovery in terms of more revenues or less amount of loss should be viewed in the proper values of currencies of each of the countries. To illustrate, some of the Asian countries have smaller devaluation of their currencies than others in relation to the US dollar or those which has shown smaller decline in number of visitors are less affected.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Case facts say that the impacts of the crisis from Korea and Hong Kong were alarmingly low at the end to 1997, falling by about 90% from the previous year. Between the two Hong Kong has shown faster recovery. Japan in comparison showed smaller decline in number of visitors by about 6% in 1997, 19% in 1998 and 8% in 1999. Thus it was more proper to invest more in Japan that with Korea and Hong Kong.   Countries such as Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand appeared to have held up well in 1999 after their being badly affected during the crisis, thus these countries could receive higher budget allocation in 1999 and afterwards. TNSW could not just abandon Asian markets because they constitute about 40% of all NSW’s visitors (Gray and Fletcher, n.d.). 2.3. The travel and tourism industry is often exposed to uncertainty, risk and disaster. How important is to incorporate crises management in an organization’s strategic business plans.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   It is important to incorporate crises management in an organization’s strategic business plans because failure to do would leave the country or nation unprepared to such eventuality and it is such a big risk to face in terms of loss revenues. In the case of New South Wales, the tourism industry income represents about 10% of the state economy and the government is also depending from the same industry to employ thousands of its people, thus the decision of TNSW is critical and very important to making its strategic plans.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Incorporating therefore crises management to an organization’s strategic plans is the same as preparing for contingencies in the major part of the economic plans for New South Wales.   For a nation to lose big amount of revenues amounting to billions of US dollars and thousands of employment opportunities is also courting other problems for its people politically, socially and even psychologically.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   To incorporate crises management therefore in an organization’s strategic plans amounts being complete and realistic in preparing strategic plans (Churchill, Jr. and Peter, 1995; Cooper, L. 2000). Strategic plans are meant to attain objectives which include the characteristics of being specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound. To prepare for any eventuality including possible crises is just being realistic with possible events in the future and therefore including crises management in strategic business plans of an organization is deemed part of well prepared strategic plan. 2.3. The unexpected can happen to an overseas market or group of markets. What should international strategic marketing plans incorporate to reduce damage from unseen contingencies?   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   To reduce damage from unseen contingencies, the following should be incorporated in the international strategic marketing plans:   (1) A contingency plan that could address all possible scenarios; (2) The contingency plan should allow management a sober analysis and interpretation of anecdotal and statistical information for decision making; (3) The contingency plan should allow dissemination of information to industry players to allow responsible decisions (Gray and Fletcher, n.d.);   (4) The plan should provide leadership in terms of how to respond properly with the contingency; and (5) The plan should have forecasts (Brigham and Houston, 2002;   Weston and Brigham,1993; Helfert, 1994) that could   project the nature and extent of the recovery in all markets should the contingency happen (Gray and Fletcher (n.d.). Conclusion and Recommendation   Ã‚  Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚  This paper has shown how an organization responded to unseen crises that it may not have foreseen as per case facts.   A calculated response was however noted in addressing the Asian financial crisis effects on tourism and travel industry to NSW by TNSW’s employing the elements of analysis and interpretation of anecdotal and statistical information, dissemination of information to industry, providing leadership in terms of how to respond to the crisis and providing forecasts which projected the nature and extent of the recovery in all markets.    The crisis was essentially external to TNSW but company appears to have been prepared despite any indication in the case fact that it did not foresee the same. The response therefore is an indication of preparedness that must formally form part of organization’s strategic plans. 'Diversity'. It's everywhere you look these days. When you switch on your TV set, you open up a newspaper, or you just look out your window - it's there. It seems everybody has a lot to say about diversity, but what does it mean, what does it really mean? And what does the future hold for a racially 'diverse' America? Well.. let's look at the fine people who are pushing for the 'diversity' line. Who's opening the borders to hordes of illegal aliens in order to 'diversify' the racial makeup of the United States and allowing these criminals to collect welfare and vote? Who's saying we should have to make way for Blacks and Mexicans in our own society, forcing us to change our ways, our culture, in order to accommodate these people, and their cultures. Who is saying that we should bring these Negroes and Mestizoes into predominantly White places and institutions, and we should have to be 'tolerant' and 'sensitive' to the cultural and racial attitudes of these people. Isn't it mainly the left that's saying we should have to accept more 'diversity', that we should have to change our ways and become more 'sensitive' towards these people when we are dealing with them? Isn't it mainly these leftists, the Marxist-Communists, the professional class- and race-warfare artists, that are always crying out about the 'oppression' of the Negro and the Mestizo, and how we need to help these people by giving them free healthcare, free welfare, free houses. Just last year that proud moral example, that wonderful honest man who's word was his bond, that embodiment of patriotic Americanism, president Bill Clinton stated proudly to a cheering audience that "by 2050, Whites will be a minority in the United States". Yes, it's mainly the left, but most Republicans are not much better as they do a fairly good job of sitting back and watching it happen, since they know that it drives down the cost of labor to have a such a large unskilled population. But really, what kind of benefits do 'diversity' and 'multiculturalism' bring to our society and to the average Joe White guy. After all, it's not at all necessary to bring people from other races and from other cultures to our country just for the sake of having them here, and it's not necessary for us to have to bend our customs, culture and values in order to accomodate these people. This is really only a new trend, I mean... ...could live in a free society with rights above those of the Government. We need your help to awaken more people, to snap them out of this idiotic idea that this 'diversity' is good for our society. We need your help by lobbying your congressmen to restrict border controls, to restrict the rights of illegal aliens, and to abolish this trend for a mongrelized 'diverse' society. We need your help and we need the help of other independently-minded Nordic Aryans like you in stopping 'diversity' from destroying our society and re-establishing America as the home of the American Dream and the land of prosperity and success. We need this help because if we're going to make America a great place to live in twenty or thirty years time, and not the next South Africa, we're going to have to awaken as many people as we can into taking a stand and fighting as well. It's not enough just to say "you know, I agree with what you're saying", you have to say "I agree with what you're saying, and I'm willing to fight to make it happen". To merely believe is not enough, you must have the will to fight, and to fight hard to make this change which will decide the future of our nation.

What is gender role? Gender roles can be linked closely to the Bible as the relations between men and women as both intuitive and sensual. Biologically gender is not determined; however, as a result of sexual characteristics of either men or women, it is established socially. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations gender is a central organizing principle of societies, and often governs the processes of production and reproduction, consumption and distribution. Gender issues focus on women and on the relationship between men and women, their roles, access to and control over resources, division of labor, interests and needs. Gender relations influence family well-being, household security, planning, production and many other aspects of life including the way we think or feel according to one’s gender. For this reason the definition of gender role today should be revised and predefined because the meaning it once had is no longer comparable with the Bible. Many countries have experienced huge turmoil and revising of its traditional gender roles within the last generation. These changes in gender roles affect the home, the workplace, and the school, plus they affect all walks of life to some degree. Gender role is a commonly discussed subject in society and many may argue about the true role of a man or a woman. Society and culture are also very important in relation to this subject. This means different societies and cultures may produce children and later, grown men and women, who have quite different views of a man or a woman’s place in the world around them, often determined by their culture’s gender stereotypes. Gender roles are attached to persons according to their gender. So, what are men’s and women’s roles in society? Should they be equal or do they have well defined roles they should play? In this day and age, people like to be intolerant by attempting to make the two sexes equal. Most people feel that it is unfair to say that women can do certain activities better than men and men can do other activities better than women but God actually made men and women differently and has given them different roles in life and society. God has made men and women to fit certain roles He has defined. The Bible talks a lot about God’s roles for men and women. Genesis, the first book of the Bible, talks about Creation and how sin entered the world. When God created everything, it was perfect and good. Right after Adam and Eve disobeyed God, God kicked them out of the perfect place he had made for them called the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:16-19 says: â€Å"To the woman He said, ‘I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth, in pain you shall bring forth children; yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you. Then to Adam He said, ‘Cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field; by the sweat of your face you shall eat bread’. This is God’s first example of roles to women and men. It was meant for men to take care of land and work it for food to provide for his family and women would bear children and take care of them and raise them while their husband worked. Again, a man and woman’s role is well defined in a home. They are both made for each other and to grow strong as one. A woman has quite a unique role to fill. She is made as a companion for her husband because without a wife a man is alone and she is the only one who can provide the companionship needs. She should give her husband affection because he needs it just as she needs it also and only she may know the husband in such a way to provide the kind of affection he needs. A wife is there to give physical needs because God made man and woman to rely on one another. Also a woman should bear children for her husband to make a family that they can all love and appreciate. Most mothers spend more time with her children and her influence on their character development is great because they see her the most. Lastly, every woman should be a keeper at home and this requires diligence and the kind of care only women can provide. It is a place of honor among God and His people. â€Å"A woman should be a guard, and ruler and keeper of the affairs of the home† (Prov. 31:13-15). There is nothing wrong with a woman working, as long as it is done in the right way it is honorable. All women, whether married or not, can look to the worthy woman for guidance for living godly lives. In God’s pattern we do not see slavery, but freedom, honor, and true beauty. However, all women shall strive to fulfill their God given roles in their own families, so as to gain honor for themselves, for their families, and for God. In addition, a man’s role in society differs quite differently from a woman. The man is the key to making the family work the way God intended. God puts the responsibility of having a Biblical family on the man. On top of that, men are under a lot of job pressure because of the failing economy which makes it harder to provide for the family. Many men never had a role model in their home. There should be Godly men helping their off springs to become who they ought to be for the glory of God. Men should love their family as Jesus loved the church; he is to also love the members of his family as he loves his body. He is to nourish it. He is to cherish it. He is to take care of it. That’s the way God wants a man to love his family. Eph. 5:23 says, â€Å"For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church and the Savior of the body. † Notice that it didn’t say the head over the wife; it said the head of the wife. It is not dictatorship. A man is not the dictator in the family but the man is to protect and provide for his family. Being a good provider is not enough as men have a spiritual responsibility. They should get their family in church each Sunday and take every opportunity to help them learn about Jesus Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. Men should obey the word of the Lord and ask the Lord to help him be the man he should be. Many of men have failed to lead their family like they should. However, if he is the man, the father, the kind of husband God wants him to be, and if he lifts his family to be everything God wants them to be, one of these days he will reap a good harvest in his children. However, the shifting of gender roles in the past thirty years has been huge. It has happened so quickly that men and women are still trying to sort out what the new roles and rules mean to them although women are no longer expected to be the keepers of the house, in reality, they are in most families and although men are generally open to the successes enjoyed by the women they share their lives with, some still find it hard to celebrate a woman’s triumphs because they feel it attenuates their own. Even though the Bible clearly states the role of a man and a woman many individuals may argue this because the Bible was written a long time ago and they feel such implications do not apply anymore. Yet, the Bible is the word of God and his word is always right and should be abided by no matter how we may feel. Historically, it is important also to note that cultural differences flourish in the emphasis of one’s gender role and in certain societies such assumption in accepted gender norms can also play some part in the definition of gender identity. It will take time to sort out all the assumptions of the changing gender roles of individuals, but new expectations should result in better lives, better relationships, better schools, and better workplaces.

This is the most important sector, which is continuously improving the economic performance and offer different export opportunities (Castillo, Flores and Rodrguez, 2014). The service sector is developing with the demands, which are created by the industries to assist its growth, for example, banks require industry for making finan cial transactions. Globalization can be very demanding on the company and without having a proper plan; it can create long term issues for the companies. If the companies operate their business with traditional management style and do not incorporate Total Quality Management approaches, then quality of products and services can suffer a loss. In addition to this, it may impact the supply chain management of operations management (Rushton, Croucher, and Baker, 2014). The global market has made the supply and demand more impulsive and very hard to estimate as there is a greater dependence on different firms. The international network is making the supply chain more complex, be cause number of customers, suppliers and plants spread across the world. Thus, increasing globalization affects some key aspects of the operations management of organizations. 3.It is inevitable that in the future nearly all the manufacturing operations will be performed in low labor cost countries. There are so many countries, which have very expensive labor costs, like; US, Australia, Canada etc. Manufacturing services are one of the most important contributors to the economy of a nation, so it is essential to manage the costs and expenses on this service. For developing more profitable manufacturing, countries try to make various efforts and outsource the labor from other low labor countries for their manufacturing process. This process is known as offshore manufacturing, under which the organizations conduct their fully manufacturing in a nation, where raw materials and labor are cheaper than their own country, for exports and finally imports in the home country of manufacturer (Gray, Leiblein, and Roth, 2013). The main countries with low cost labor are Mexico, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia etc. For a long duration, foreign direct (FDI) has been an important practice among the companies in various countries, so these investments do not seen very remarkable. In the past the companies in United States went foreign to safeguard an international market or to get the raw materials. Now, these companies are using different way to enhance their business operations. They enter in other country to make or purchase the products and deliver them to their home country (Green, Roos, 2012). But, this process is not goof, as it is not improving the domestic production, but replacing it. The manufacturing companies defend this offshoring from foreign market as the single way to deal with the high quality and inexpensive imports. Moreover, they state that shifting to low-cost labor nations, like; Taiwan, Malaysia and Mexico can allow the home country to regain its position in the world. This is not good for the home countries and its people, as it reduces the job opportunities for the people. It can be good for an individual company only, but it affects the business operations by going global. In rush of saving money, the managers in manufacturing generally lose the prospect of higher penalties of shifting to abroad (Harney, 2008). By continuously moving to cheaper labor nations, they are just delaying the inevitable day of calculation, when they should face the phase of business, when they will really need reform. The companies need to go with any other alternative than manufacturing outsourcing, because it will not lead the organizations to net costs saving due to hidden overhead costs. The manufacturers need to understand that it increases the delivery time for the order and affect the operations management of the company (Markides, and Berg, 2017). Great Britains Exit (Brexit) from European Union was a significant event that affected every area of business in the global market. On 23 June, 2016, 52% people gave vote in favor of decision of Britain to exit the EU (Buiter, Rahbari, Schulz, 2016). The major reason behind this event was to work in future with the sovereignty and freedom, so that they can take major economic and political decisions. Brexit had a large impact on the global operations management, as majorly it affected the supply chain management, distribution and logistics management. These were among experiencing and seeing some of the major shifts and severe impacts as an outcome of departure of United Kingdom from European Union (Dhingra, Ottaviano, Sampson, 2015). According to the Wall Street Journal article, logistics and shipping organizations could be forced to deal with the supply chain interruptions until they will not establish new regulations and trade agreements (Ranchman, 2016). Along with the hindrances in the flow of products, many companies are hoping the surge in retail businesses and manufacturing companies are looking for the support in balancing the new trade reality. This exit of UK was somewhat good for retail and logistics, but only for short term. It has made the nations across the region more closely look like China, Japan and America, because it has made the distribution and shipping operations very complex (Hallam,2017). Global supply chain operations were become more complex, as the distribution channels become restructured and country has imposed more restrictions. In addition to this, UKs exit from European Union forces the organization to change their operations strategies according to new rules and regulations. They face various issues in globalizing their business in international market and operating the business in another country (Hunt Wheeler, 2016). Isolationism is a judgmental term for the traditional policy of Americans of not engaging in long-term and permanent alliances with the other nations. It is done by United States to preserve itself from freedom of action and trusting on the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans for protecting the country. This event of the country also had a great impact on the global operations management. At that time, trade flows are controlled and international investment is also prohibited. Global supply chain that is inherent in the retail businesses are at risks of actions, which may stanch from the isolationist policies.
